Personal fundraisers, shared with care.

Terms of use

These terms govern use of the American Impact Alliance platform. American Impact Alliance operates this fundraising platform. By using the platform, submitting a story, or making a contribution, you agree to these terms.

Last updated October 2026

1. Our purpose

American Impact Alliance publishes personal fundraising campaigns so that supporters can read a story, understand the organizer’s plan for the funds, and contribute. American Impact Alliance is not a healthcare, financial, or legal services provider.

2. Not professional advice

Information shared on campaign pages, in updates, and elsewhere on the platform is provided by organizers and by American Impact Alliance for informational purposes. It is not a replacement for professional medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice.

3. Contributions

Donations are voluntary contributions. No goods or services are provided in exchange for a donation. American Impact Alliance makes no representation about the tax treatment of a gift; please consult a tax professional about your own situation.

4. Saved payment methods

When you contribute, your payment method — including Apple Pay and Google Pay — is securely stored by our payment processor, NMI. American Impact Alliance never stores full card numbers. A stored payment method is used only to complete a contribution if a first attempt fails to process, and to let you make additional contributions you choose, such as adding to your gift with one tap after checkout. American Impact Alliance will never charge a stored payment method unless you request it. To have your stored payment method removed, contact support@americanimpactalliance.org.

5. Campaigns and story submissions

Organizers are responsible for the accuracy of the stories, photos, and plans they submit, and must have permission to share information about any beneficiary. American Impact Alliance may request additional information before or after publication, edit a campaign for clarity, or decline or remove a campaign at its discretion.

6. Community conduct

Supporters and organizers must treat others with respect. Comments or messages that are abusive, misleading, or unlawful may be removed, and American Impact Alliance may restrict access to the platform for conduct that puts others at risk.

7. Intellectual property

Text, images, and recordings on the platform belong to American Impact Alliance or the relevant contributor. Written permission is required before republishing content at scale.

8. Changes to these terms

American Impact Alliance may revise these terms as the platform evolves. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised version.
